A successful Youth Parliament
The Youth Council of Hafnarfjörður, together with the staff of Hafnarfjörður's youth centres, organised a Youth Forum, „New Year! A New Hafnarfjörður" on 25th January. The purpose of the conference was, among other things, to get ideas from young people for projects and solutions that can improve the situation for young people in Hafnarfjörður. Around 100 people attended the conference and there were good discussions.

Hafnarfjörður. Participants in the conference were offered the opportunity to take part in three
discussion groups; school matters, social life and culture and finally organisation/environment and
prevention. In each category, there were group leaders who led the discussions. Group leaders are
representatives from the Hafnarfjörður Youth Council. This year's group leaders were Katrín Rós,
Bjarki Steinar, Breki, Eva Rut, Birta Guðný, Guðrún and Áslaug. Other representatives
Youth Council, Hekla, Steingrímur, Vaka, María Mist, Katrín María, Þorgerður and
Lára Rós saw various other tasks involved in holding a Youth Parliament. Also
