Guardians need to assess for themselves whether children need to be accompanied to or from school or after-school activities on Wednesday and Thursday. It is worth bearing in mind that it can often be windy in higher areas. If the weather brings ice or snow, the likelihood of needing an escort increases. It is important that parents/guardians are aware that disruption may also affect after-school clubs and organised activities at the end of the school day, and are prepared to collect children from school and these activities should the need arise.
