The City of Hafnarfjörður's allotment gardens are open to all residents of Hafnarfjörður for a small fee. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals and families to grow their own vegetables and look after them over the summer. The allotments are located in Öldutún and Víðistaðir and are handed over tilled at the end of May.

The City of Hafnarfjörður's vegetable gardens are open to all residents of Hafnarfjörður. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals and families to grow their own vegetables and look after them over the summer. The vegetable gardens are located in Öldutún and Víðistaðir.
What vegetables would you like to grow this summer?
The cost per garden is kept to a minimum at kr. 1,781 for one garden and kr. 2,969 for two. Vegetables or other materials are not included in the price, but access to water and minor tools will be available. The plots will be ploughed and allocation will begin at the end of May. Registration opened on 30 April via Vala. Please note that you must select your desired municipality and allotment site (Öldutún Family Allotment / Víðistaðir Family Allotment).
