Proposal for a local plan amendment at Hraunvangur 7, Hrafnista

At the meeting of the Planning and Building Committee on 25 September 2018, an enquiry from Hrafnista in Hafnarfjörður from April 2016 regarding the change of use of plot F2 at Hrafnista was considered.

The Planning and Building Committee proposes that the proposal for a change to the detailed plan for Hraunvangur 7, the Hrafnista area, be presented to residents and advertised in accordance with Article 41 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010.

The Planning and Building Committee also endorsed the resolution of the Committee of 22 September 2016 and of the Municipal Council of 12 October 2016 regarding the proposed closure of Herjólfsbraut at Garðahraunsveg (the old Álftanesveg).

The zoning amendment entails converting a nursing home into flats for the elderly.

The proposals will be on display at the Hafnarfjörður Customer Service Centre, 6 Strandgata, and at the Environmental and Planning Service, 2 Norðurhellu, from 28 January to 11 March 2019. Further information is available from the Environmental and Planning Service.
