Hafnarfjörður is inviting applications for grants for measures on the windows of houses on busy roads. Grants are awarded for improving the sound insulation of windows on the sides of a building where the noise level is calculated to be 65 dB(A) or higher.
When awarding grants, priority is given to those living in the worst conditions. Applicants must detail their proposed measures in their application, and the environmental and planning service will assess whether these are sufficient; this is a prerequisite for the grant to be awarded.
