Football pitches ready
The works on the football pitches at Hafnarfjörður's primary schools are nearing completion, and our young people can now return to the pitches with their footballs and in high spirits. The project is ahead of schedule.

The work on the football pitches at Hafnarfjörður's primary schools is nearing completion, and our youngsters can now return to the pitches with a ball and a good mood. The tarmac curbs on the football pitches at four of the town's primary schools have been replaced, and new artificial grass has been laid on the pitches at three schools.
Work on refurbishing the football pitches at all the town's primary schools is nearing completion. The crumb rubber surface on four pitches has been replaced with certified rubber material, and new artificial turf has been laid on the pitches at Hvaleyrarskóli, Setbergsskóli and Öldutúnsskóli. The work on the three pitches where the turf was to be replaced was scheduled to be completed by October at the latest, but it has now been finished considerably ahead of schedule. We are very pleased with how quickly this project has been completed and we thank the children and young people of Hafnarfjörður for their understanding and cooperation.
