Tea for the town council

The Hafnarfjörður Youth Council held a tea party for the mayor and the town council before the town council meeting on Wednesday. The proposals put forward at the 2017 Youth Parliament were discussed at the tea party, along with the situation of young people in Hafnarfjörður. The Youth Council held the parliament at the end of January under the slogan: New Year! A New Hafnarfjörður. The aim of the tea party was to get a better feel for the ideas that came up at the youth parliament, to discuss their potential and ways forward with the view of developing them further before the ideas are formally presented to the town council and, subsequently, to the various councils of the City of Hafnarfjörður. A formal presentation of the proposals and ideas will take place at Hafnarborg in early June.

Three topics were particularly chosen: Education, prevention, and planning/environment, and finally social life and culture. Attached are ideas that emerged at the meeting of Hafnarfjörður's youth, which are currently being discussed and further developed for presentation.
