Guðrún appointed HR Manager
Guðrún Þorsteinsdóttir has been appointed Human Resources Manager for the City of Hafnarfjörður. From 2008 to 2015, Guðrún worked as Human Resources Manager for Reykjanesbær.
Guðrún Þorsteinsdóttir has been appointed Human Resources Manager for the City of Hafnarfjörður. From 2008 to 2015, Guðrún worked as the Human Resources Manager for Reykjanesbær, where she was responsible, among other things, for implementing the council's policies across all its institutions, as well as managing and leading professional development.
Guðrún completed a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Iceland in 2015, a diploma in Human Resource Management from EHÍ in 2009, and graduated in 1998 with a B.Ed degree from the Teachers' College of Iceland. Guðrún has worked at ISAVA since 2015, providing HR consultancy to management and the Aviation Security department, as well as handling recruitment. A total of 21 applications were received for the position, but two were withdrawn. Guðrún will start on 1 October.
