Fjarðarpósturinn, in collaboration with the City of Hafnarfjörður and the Christmas Village in Hafnarfjörður, will be hosting a live webcast on Sunday, 2 December. The broadcast will be from the old apothecary in Hafnarborg and will feature, among others, well-known artists such as Bubbi Morthens, Guðrún Árný Karlsdóttir, Jón Jónsson and Friðrik Dór. Around 50 people will appear in the programme, and IKEA is responsible for furnishing three elegant and festive sets for the broadcast.
This innovative and fun idea came about a few weeks ago, and the individuals behind it are Olga Björt Þórðardóttir, editor of the Fjarðarpósturinn, and Þorvarður Goði Valdimarsson of the production company Skjáskot. Olga Björt and the knowledgeable media personality and Hafnarfjörður native, Jónatan Garðarsson, will be the presenters, and the programme will be split into several 45-minute episodes throughout the day. The web series, which will be built around interviews, entertainment segments and musical interludes, will be broadcast simultaneously on the „like“ pages of all participants, the City of Hafnarfjörður, the Christmas Village and the Fjallapósturinn, and will therefore be seen by many Facebook users. The content of the show lives on after the broadcast.

Hafnarfjörður welcomes this initiative and looks forward to sailing into the Advent season on these innovative and creative Christmas notes with all interested parties.
