Kaldárselsvegur – closures due to roadworks on 8 May
The fourth and final closure will be on Wednesday, 8th May. The plan is to resurface sections of road leading from the roundabout on Elliðavatnsveg. The road is expected to be closed from morning until evening.
Due to asphalting works on Kaldárselsveg, there will be disruption to traffic in the area due to closures of road sections, which are marked on the overview map. Traffic disruption due to the closures will affect the following streets, although at different times:
- Kaldárselsvegur
- Elliðavatnsvegur
- Brekkuás
- Rocky slope
Fourth and final closure – Wednesday, 8th May
The plan is to resurface sections of road leading from the roundabout on Elliðavatnsveg, see picture. Diversion will be via Hvaleyrarvatnsveg, past the stables and the woodland. Signage will be put up in the area. The road is expected to be closed from morning until evening.
