Hafnarborg's Autumn Exhibition 2020 – Proposals invited
As in previous years, curators have the opportunity to submit proposals for next year's autumn exhibition at Hafnarborg.
As in previous years, curators have the opportunity to submit proposals for next year's autumn exhibition at Hafnarborg. The autumn exhibition series began in 2011, and nine exhibitions have been staged in the series since. This year's autumn exhibition at Hafnarborg, Everything at the same time, which opened on 30 August, was selected in the same way, from the proposals received last year.
The aim of inviting submissions is to have the opportunity to select curators for collaboration who put forward interesting exhibition proposals, whilst also bringing new people into the fold. Particular attention is paid to providing opportunities for curators with a short career history. It has proven that there is every reason to maintain such a project, as it has resulted in diverse exhibitions that have attracted attention and had good attendance.
Proposals are invited for exhibitions that bring together the work of artists whose themes, working methods or other ideas connect them. Exhibitions that offer an analysis of, or a specific perspective on, the work of a particular artist are also considered. Proposals for exhibitions of contemporary artists' work and for exhibitions involving historical analysis are equally considered. The Art Council of Hafnarborg, together with the Director, reviews the applications and selects the winning proposal each year.
The deadline for submitting proposals is Sunday, 10th November.
