Plasticathon – an ideas workshop on solutions to the plastic problem

The Plastathon is an ideas workshop for those who are passionate about environmental issues and innovation, and everyone is welcome to register to take part. Participants form teams and work together on solutions to the challenges the world faces regarding the overuse of plastic.
Environmental Agency is hosting a Plastathon on the 27th and 28th of September. The Plastathon is an ideas workshop for those who are passionate about environmental issues and innovation, and everyone is welcome to sign up. Participants form teams and work together on solutions to the challenges the world faces regarding plastic overuse.
During the Plastathon, participants will receive various educational sessions and opportunities to meet a diverse group of people and create innovative solutions under the guidance of experts. One team will be declared the winner and will receive a generous prize. Participation is free of charge, and the Environmental Agency will provide refreshments during the Plastathon.
Plastaþon is part of NordMarPlastic, which is Iceland's chairmanship project in the Nordic Council of Ministers. A diverse group of partners are taking part in the event alongside the Environmental Agency, including the Icelandic Innovation Centre, Plastic-Free September, the School of Design and Architecture at the Iceland Academy of the Arts, Matís and Icelandic Startups.
