HBH Byggir ehf. submitted the lowest bid for the construction of a residential complex at Öldugata 45 in Hafnarfjörður and, at the same time, the proposal received the best evaluation from the assessment committee. A contract was awarded to the company at the beginning of this year, and HBH Byggir ehf. will design, build and complete the housing, along with the plot of land, and hand it over fully ready for use. There will be six detached houses, each approximately 50 m2 in size, along with 23 m2 staff facilities and about 20 m2 shared spaces. All the self-contained flats are designed according to the concept of universal design, which involves creating good solutions that prioritise equality and the well-being of all people. The residential unit at 45 Öldugata replaces the home at Einibergi, which accommodates four residents. The residential unit at Öldugata will accommodate 6 residents.
