Autumn sweeping in Hafnarfjörður
Now that the leaves are starting to fall from the trees, autumn sweeping is about to begin in the town. Street sweeping will start on Monday, 7th October, and is scheduled to finish on 25th October. The work will begin in the outlying suburbs and end in the centre of Hafnarfjörður.
Summer and autumn have truly been beautiful here in Hafnarfjörður, and the colours in nature have been particularly lovely. Now the leaves are starting to fall from the trees and the autumn sweep is about to begin in the town. During the autumn sweep, all the town's streets are checked over, swept, and an attempt is made to clear as much of the leaf litter that has fallen in recent days and weeks.
The autumn sweep in Hafnarfjörður is divided into fourteen districts. The street sweeping begins on 7 October and is scheduled to finish on 25 October. The suburbs of Hafnarfjörður will be swept first, finishing in the town centre. The town centre will be swept weekly on Sunday mornings until winter.
