Welcome to the new recruitment website of the City of Hafnarfjörður. 

In mid-December, the municipality launched a new recruitment website, which is now scalable and accessible on all smart devices. The recruitment website provides an overview of the wide range of positions available at any given time.  These may be permanent positions in some cases or short-term roles. Special attention is drawn to the City of Hafnarfjörður's policy of equalising the gender balance in its workforce and ensuring that the city's workplaces reflect the diversity of the community.

Hafnarfjörður is the third largest municipality in the country, with around 2,000 employees who carry out a wide variety of tasks at 70 different locations throughout the town. A strong emphasis is placed on employing people who can provide the best possible service and who carry out their work with expertise, responsibility and ambition.
