Science Cocoa is an event for curious children who want to have a direct conversation with scientists, to hear what they research and what it's like to work in science.
At Science Cocoa, guests have the opportunity to meet members of the scientific community for an informal chat about the research they are undertaking, and, most importantly, to ask countless questions about everything involved in working in research and science.
On Saturday, 19th September, it will be Dr Erna Magnúsdóttir., An associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Iceland, who will tell guests about his research and scientific work in the field of medical science.
The event is expected to last for about an hour and, of course, mulled wine and doughnuts will be served while supplies last.
Vísindakakó is part of the Vísindavaka programme at Rannís, which received funding through the Marie Sklodowska-Curie programme under Horizon Europe – the European Union's research and innovation programme, for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 academic years.
