      The Committee on Democracy and Equality refers the matter for presentation to the Town Council.

      DemocracyThe Equality Committee welcomes the progress made in the fight against the gender pay gap in the City of Hafnarfjörður, but notes that the gender pay gap now stands at 61% for teachers and 91% for non-teachers, compared to 81% for teachers and 121% for non-teachers in 2001.T without teachers. The Committee emphasises, however, that work must continue to be carried out in a targeted manner towards the goal of completely eliminating the gender pay gap in the town.
