    • 0705110 – Establishment of a joint committee on regional planning matters.

      A letter, dated 9th May, from the Executive Director of the SSH Board was presented, requesting that Hafnarfjörður nominate two representatives to sit on the newly established cooperation committee.

      The nominations were referred to the town council for consideration.

    • 0705076 – Merkurgata 3 and works at Vesturgata 10, 12a and 12b.

    • 0705197 – BSH Vehicle Station, right to taxi ranks.

      A letter dated 21st May, from Einar Ágústsson on behalf of BSH Car Service Station, regarding access to taxi ranks in the town centre of Hafnarfjörður was presented. Gudmundur Benediktsson, the town's solicitor, attended the meeting.

      The Town Council agrees to instruct the Planning and Building Committee to examine the possibility of more taxi ranks in the town centre area, and to instruct the Town Solicitor to respond to the request.

    • 0705199 – Finance Director of Hafnarfjörður Municipality.

      The mayor is tasked with advertising the position for applications.

    • 0704064 – Ombudsman of the Althingi, payment of costs for music studies.

      A report from the town solicitor and the director of education, together with accompanying documents, was presented.

      The Town Council endorses the opinion of the Town Solicitor and the Director of Education and instructs them to present the position of the Town of Hafnarfjörður to the Ministry of Education and to pursue the matter in consultation with the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities.

    • 0702004 – Ásvellir Swimming Centre.

      A report from the Sports and Leisure Committee was presented, in which the committee recommended to the town authorities, at its meeting on 15 May, that a restricted competitive tender be held for the health and fitness section of the swimming centre at Völlum.

      The Town Council endorses the recommendation of the Sports and Leisure Committee and delegates the implementation of the competitive tender to the Executive Committee.

    • 0705203 – Arnarhraun 50, tender.

      The town council agrees that the plot of land will be put out to tender, and the mayor is tasked with advertising the tender.

    • 0705138 – Hämeenlinna Housing Fair 13.07.-12.08.2007, letter of invitation.

      A letter of invitation, dated 9th May, from the Mayor of Hämeenlinna regarding the Housing Fair, was presented for information, to be held from 13th July to 12th August.

    • 0703185 – Housing - Family Services.

      Draft lease agreement for Dalshraun 10, which the Executive Council referred to the Town Council for approval at its meeting on 21 May, was presented.

      The Town Council approves the lease agreement for its part and refers the matter to the Town Council for further consideration.

    • 0702033 – Hjalli School, primary school.

      The Town Council approves the following proposal for its part and refers the matter to the Town Board for further consideration.

    • 0705215 – Ásland 3, plot allocation.

      The Town Council proposes to the Borough Council that the plots at Fjóluás 2, 4 and 6 be allocated to Ástak, registration no. 520400-4190, in accordance with the further conditions of the Planning and Building Officer.

    • 0705235 – 45th IBA Congress, presentation.

      The Chairman and the Executive Director attended the meeting and presented the results of the 45th IBAH Congress.

    • 0704211 – Collaboration on the Days of the Construction Industry in Hafnarfjörður 2007

      A proposal from the Master Craftsmen's Association of Hafnarfjörður regarding a partnership for the 2007 Days of the Construction Industry in Hafnarfjörður was presented.

      The Town Council welcomes the request and refers it to the Information and Public Relations Officer for further action.

    • 0703261 – Study permits and scholarships 2007.

      A proposal from the staff was presented regarding the allocation of study permits and grants for autumn 2007.

      The town council approves the proposal for its part.

    Grants

    • 0701114 – Hafnarfjörður Brass Band, grant application.

      A grant application, dated 14th May, was submitted from Stefán Ómar Jakobsson and Jón Björgvinsson on behalf of the School of Music's Brass Band, for a concert tour of three European countries in early June.

      The Town Council approves a grant of 200,000 kr., to be taken from item 21-815.

    • 0702101 – Flensborgarskóli, application for a grant for its 125th anniversary.

      A letter, dated 7th February, from Flensburg School was presented, requesting the town's support for the school's 125th anniversary.

      The Town Council approves the grant for historical writing, and the Mayor will report on it at the school's 125th anniversary.
