• 0702364 – 100th anniversary of the Port of Hafnarfjörður.

  The Chair of the Jubilee Committee, Ásta María Björnsdóttir, presented the Jubilee Committee's proposals to mark the 100th anniversary of the Port of Hafnarfjörður in 2009.

  The birthday committee's proposal was discussed in detail and finally approved. It was agreed to include the estimated cost of the birthday celebrations in the harbour's 2009 budget.

• 0810280 – Harbour's 2009 Operating and Financial Budget

  The harbour's operating and financial budget for 2009 was taken for its second reading.

  <DIV&gt;%0D<DIV&gt;Framlögð og endurskoðuð rekstrar- og fjárhagsáætlun Hafnarfjarðarhafnar fyrir árið 2009 var samþykkt með þremur atkvæðum. </DIV&gt;%0D<DIV&gt;Fulltrúar Sjálfstæðisflokks sátu hjá við afgreiðsluna.</DIV&gt;%0D<DIV&gt;Jafnframt var samþykkt að taka áætlunina til endurskoðunar í lok 1. misseris 2009.</DIV&gt;%0D<DIV&gt;Samþykkt var að vísa áætluninni til staðfestingar í bæjarstjórn.</DIV&gt;</DIV&gt;

  The Harbour Board agrees to use all available means to compel plot holders to clear their plots of rubbish and waste, and to improve their general upkeep of the plots and the harbour area.If plot holders fail to comply with the harbour's requests for tidying up and improved upkeep, the harbour, in consultation with the municipal solicitor, building control officer and environmental health officer, shall clear the plots at the plot holder's liability and expense, as permitted by law and regulations.
