    • 0709057 – Hjalli School, a primary school on Hjallabraut

      Sbr. lið 1 í fundargerð fræðsluráðs frá 17. nóvember. %0DSviðssjóri og þróunarfulltrúi grunnskóla gerðu grein fyrir skoðun sinni á húsnæði barnaskólans.

      Based on an assessment of the school's premises by the Education Department, the request is denied. The Education Department considers that the current premises cannot accommodate the number of children involved in the requested addition. Furthermore, it should be noted that it is only natural for a call for austerity, due to the economic situation, to apply to all aspects of education.

      The representative of the Independence Party abstains from the vote on this matter.

    A letter was presented from Þórður St. Guðmundsson, on behalf of the competition's organisers, requesting that the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður host the Icelandic final, which will be held on the 21st and 22nd of April.
