  The Family Council agrees to instruct the Head of Department to lead and coordinate departmental actions aimed at reducing the negative impact of the economic situation on children and young people. In addition to utilising the expertise of the department's staff, the committees under the remit of the Family Council and the Child Protection Co-operation Group will also be engaged. Close consultation will be held with the Public Welfare Task Force, the Mayor's Task Force, and the education authorities. Special attention will be paid to responses to youth unemployment. The Family Council will be regularly kept informed of the progress of the work.;
