• 0810109 – Work Programme for Culture and Tourism

  The Cultural and Tourism Officer reported that work on the development of the cultural and tourism work plan is now being carried out under the guidance of Vilhjálmur Kristjánsson, a public administration and management consultant, and Ingibjörg Guðmundsdóttir, an education officer. The working group includes the cultural and tourism officer, heads of cultural institutions, Karl Rúnar Þórsson from the Folk Museum, and a staff member from Hafnarborg (to be appointed).

• 0710071 – The Christmas Village in Hafnarfjörður

  The village budget was presented, and the planned changes were outlined.

• 0804191 – Tourist Board, grant

  Work on signage and improvements to the footpaths at Seltún is imminent, after a grant of kr. 1,500,000 was received from the Tourist Board for the project earlier this year.

• 0810107 – Singing Christmas

  It has been reported that the "Singing Christmas" event, featuring 30 choirs and singing groups, is now a joint project of the Office of Culture and Tourism and the School Office. Singing Christmas will take place at Hafnarborg on 6 December.
