  Anna Kristín Jóhannesdóttir presented Bjarni Reynarsson's proposal for a study on the current situation and desirable development of Hafnarfjörður's town centre.

  The Director was instructed to invite Bjarni Reynarsson to the next meeting of the committee, which is on 13 February.

• 0712172 – 1 Linnetstigur, enquiry

  At its meeting on 10 January, the Planning and Building Committee referred Ingvar Guðmundsson's query regarding the building at 1 Linnetstíg to the City Centre Committee for its consideration. The committee's report is as follows.

  Miðbæjarnefnd leggur áherslu á að hæð hússins sé innan skilmála og fari ekki upp fyrir önnur hús, byggingin sé innan byggingareits og að engar útbyggingar t.d. svalir fari út fyrir byggingareit og að starfsemi hússins verði innan lóðar. %0DGætt sé samræmis í útliti við önnur hús á svæðinu. %0DMikilvægt er að bygging þessi hamli ekki skipulagi á R2 reitnum.

• 0801350 – Beautification of the town centre for the 100th anniversary

  The City Centre Committee proposes the following:

  To mark the 100th anniversary of the Borough of Hafnarfjörður, the town centre committee is placing special emphasis on the beautification of the town centre. For example, the concrete pillars on Strandgatan will be removed and another solution found, the urn on Fjarðargata will be returned to its original purpose, and the town centre will be kept clean and adorned with flowers.
