• 0812141 – New Year's letter to parents of primary school children 2009

  A letter to be sent to the parents of all primary school children has been presented for information, reminding them of the importance of spending time together over Christmas and New Year. The letter is signed by the mayor, representatives of parents' associations, the prevention officer, the head of youth and leisure services, headteachers, the deputy chief of police, and the directors of youth clubs.

• 0912141 – Haukar, request for funding for a basketball tournament

  A request dated 14.12. last, from the Haukar Basketball Department, is presented, requesting a grant for a basketball tournament to be held at Ásvellir on 19-20 December next.

  The Sports and Leisure Committee approves a grant of kr. 100,000 for the application and delegates its processing to the Sports Officer. Furthermore, a cost estimate for the event is requested.;

• 0911128 – Sports and Awards Gala 2009, selection of Hafnarfjörður's sportspeople

  Nominations for outstanding athletes and selection of the Sportsman, Sportswoman and Sports Team of the Year.

Also approved is the nomination for the 2009 Sports Team of the Year.
