• 0907008 – Eimskip, contracts

  A letter from HF Eimskipafélags Íslands and Eimskip Ísland ehf., dated 1st July 2009 and signed by Guðmundur Nikulásson, Assistant Managing Director, in which the companies request, in light of the fact that HF Eimskipafélag Íslands has transferred its transport operations to a subsidiary in 100 % ownership of Eimskip Ísland ehf., in cooperation with the Port of Hafnarfjörður regarding the changes necessary, e.g. the transfer of land lease agreements to Eimskip Ísland ehf and anything else that may prove necessary.

  The Harbour Board agrees that the Chairman, the Harbour Master and the Mayor will discuss the matter with the management of Eimskip and otherwise review the companies' joint affairs.;

• 0906125 – The Slipway, repairs and exhibitions of wooden boats

  A letter from Sigurbjörg Árnadóttir, Chairwoman of the Icelandic Lighthouse Society, dated 10 May 2009, was presented and referred to the Harbour Board by the Mayor on 25. June 2009, in which the association requests that the Hafnarfjörður Town Council consider a collaboration with the association to establish a facility for those wishing to restore old wooden boats in the Drafnarslipp slipway.

  The Harbour Board does not consider it possible to participate in this project, but also points out that the planning for the area in question is currently being worked on by the planning authorities in Hafnarfjörður.;
