0906147 – ITH Tourism Group
It has been announced that the ITH tourism group has been established, comprising 8 young people aged 17-19 and a supervisor. The Office of Culture and Tourism, together with ÍTH, is responsible for training and managing the group. The group will travel to Reykjavík every day to introduce tourists to everything that Hafnarfjörður has to offer. This is a pilot project.

0904225 – Outdoor artwork owned by the City of Hafnarfjörður
The cultural officer proposed that responsibility for the maintenance of the City of Hafnarfjörður's outdoor artworks be transferred from the Office of Culture and Tourism to Hafnarborg. The matter has been discussed with the director of Hafnarborg, who is in agreement with the change.
The committee approves the amendment for its part.

0711020 – Upland area of Hafnarfjörður, outline plan
Walking trail maps for the hinterland of Hafnarfjörður, prepared by Landslag ehf on 13 May 2009, were submitted. The matter was referred from the Planning and Building Board to the Culture and Tourism Committee on 9 June.
The Culture and Tourism Committee would like to be given a presentation on the walking trails.

The Town Council refers the specific elements of the proposal concerning the relevant committees and boards to the Cultural and Tourism Committee, the Harbour Board, the Executive Board, and the Planning and Building Committee for their consideration.
The committee requests to meet with the city centre committee to review the development plan after the summer holidays.

Talked about the festival which took place from 28th May to 7th June.
Also discussed was the City of Reykjavík's decision to adopt the name 'Bright Reykjavík', despite the 'Bright Days of Hafnarfjörður' and the marketing collaboration of the capital region. The cultural and tourism representative was tasked with discussing the matter with the mayor.
