    • 0905091 – Staff training course for the sports department

      The Sports Officer submitted for information the programme for the safety and first aid refresher course to be attended by sports centre and swimming pool staff on 27 and 28 May and 2 June.

    • 0905094 – Cycling to work, an IOC health initiative

      A submission from the Icelandic Sports and Olympic Association, dated 29th April, regarding the health and incentive campaign, 'Cycle to Work'.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee urges the local council to work towards further connecting the town's cycle paths with those of other local authorities.;

    • 0905092 – Working procedures of the IBA regarding time allocation

      For information, the operating procedures of the Hafnarfjörður Sports Association regarding the allocation of time in sports facilities to its member clubs, as adopted on 6 April last, are attached.

    • 0905093 – IOC, 69th Sports Congress, resolutions

      A letter from the Icelandic Sports and Olympic Association, dated 29 April, was presented, concerning resolutions relating to the country's municipalities, which were passed at the 69th Sports Congress of the Icelandic Sports Association.

      Following the ISI's resolution, ÍTH would like to point out that funding for subsidies on training fees for children and young people remains unchanged for 2009, and that there has been a huge amount of development in sporting facilities in Hafnarfjörður in recent years.;

    • 0905116 – Hafnarfjörður Sports Association, nomination of an ÍTH representative to the Elite Athletes' Fund

      To consider the letter of 12th May from the Hafnarfjörður Sports Association regarding a representative on the board of the Hafnarfjörður Sports Association Achievement Fund.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee agrees that Gudmundur Jónsson will take a seat on the Elite Athletes' Fund in place of Sigurður Friðþjófsson.;

    • 0905117 – Hafnarfjörður Gymnastics Club (FH), review of the operating agreement

      A request was submitted on 12th May from the Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar (FH) seeking discussions on the revision of the council's operating agreement with FH regarding the sports facilities at Kaplakriki.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee instructs Herði Þorsteinsson, together with the sports representative and Guðbjörn Ólafsson, to speak with the letter-writer.;

    • 0902300 – Summer jobs 2009

      The chairman of ÍTH reported on decisions regarding the Hafnarfjörður Summer Job Scheme.

    • 0905115 – The child's day 24.05.2009

      A letter dated 11th May from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Social Security was presented, concerning “The Child's Day”, which will be celebrated on 24th May.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee agrees to propose free admission to the swimming pools of Hafnarfjörður for children on the occasion of the day, under the motto „Joy and Togetherness“.;
