    • 0904226 – Time allocation to schools 2009-2010

      The sports representative submitted for information the allocation of time slots to schools for the sports hall and swimming pool in Hafnarfjörður for the 2009-2010 school year, totalling around 41,000 hours.

    • 0904230 – Skotíþróttafélag Hafnarfjarðar, draft contract

      Draft agreement between the City of Hafnarfjörður and the Hafnarfjörður Shooting Society for the implementation of works at the society's sports grounds, in accordance with the available implementation and cost plan, was presented for information.

    • 0904228 – Association of Sports, Youth and Leisure Officers, Annual General Meeting

      The draft agenda for the Annual General Meeting of the Association of Sports, Youth and Leisure Officers, to be held in Garðabær on 8-9 May, was presented for information.

    • 0903235 – Hafnarfjörður Sports Association, 46th Congress

      The Chairman of the Hafnarfjörður Sports Association reported on the resolutions passed at its 46th General Assembly, which was held on 26th April at the Sports Hall on Strandgata.

    • 0904177 – Leisure and recreation offers in August

      The Operations Manager for Youth and Leisure reported on a joint project between the Education Office and the ITH, which aims to offer play and leisure activities in August for nursery school leavers.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee welcomes the project and instructs the Head of Youth and Leisure Services to proceed with it.

    • 0902300 – Summer sports work, 2009

      The Operations Manager for Youth and Leisure reported on how important it is for 17-year-olds to get a summer job, as this is the age group that finds it hardest to do so. It was noted that these individuals are not in the same category as 14-16-year-olds, as they are not considered minors. Applications for summer jobs have also increased significantly.

    • 0904109 – ÍTH Summer Website 2009, Hafnarfjörður Youth

      The Operations Manager for Youth and Leisure Services presented ith's summer website, 'Hafnarfjörður Youth', an information site about what is on offer this summer for children and teenagers. The website is scheduled to officially launch in the 20th week.

    • 0901156 – Youth centres, events 2009

      The Operations Manager for Youth and Leisure reported on the short film competition for youth clubs in Hafnarfjörður, which was held at Ásnum on 20th April. The competition was a great success, and it was Aldan who came out on top, winning the Golden Hand for the best film. Ásinn received the award for best editing and Setrið for best screenplay.

      The Sports and Leisure Committee congratulates the winners of the competition.;
