General presentations

• 0904064 – Sorpa bs, Regional Plan for Southwest Iceland 2009-2020

  A submission from Sorpa bs. dated 30 March 2009 is presented, which states that the board of Sorpa, at its meeting on 30 March, approved sending a proposal for the Regional Plan for Waste Management to the consortium's member associations for ratification.

• 0904076 – Hvaleyrarbraut 22, problem solving

  A letter from the Húsfélag Hvaleyrarbraut 22, dated 7 April 2009, was presented, requesting cooperation with the town on the use of the premises, etc.

  The town council denies the request but also points out that a clean-up campaign is underway in the harbour area and it is only natural to consult the harbour authorities about the clean-up.;

• 0810052 – Nýsir Ltd, private project contracts

  The Director of the Planning and Building Department and the Finance Director attended the meeting and reported on the status of the matter.

• 0801002 – Plot allocations, revised rules

  A proposal for changes to the rules on plot allocations was presented.

  The Town Council approves the proposed amendments to the rules on plot allocations.;

• 0812129 – Hafnarfjörður Entrepreneurship Centre

  The Service and Development Manager attended the meeting and presented a partnership agreement with Garðabær and Álftanes for the operation of the start-up centre. The contracts will be signed today and the operation will commence on 15 May.

  The Town Council approves the attached agreement.;

• 0904200 – Eskivellir 11, Deed of Transfer

  A submission from Fagtak ehf dated 22 April 2009 has been received, requesting the return of the plot at Eskivellir 11.

  The Town Council requests a report from the Department of Planning and Building.;

  Taken up again. Draft lease agreement and proposal for charges presented.

  The Town Council instructs the Town Solicitor to finalise a lease agreement at a rate equivalent to the plot rent for the plot.;

Grants

• 0904070 – Reykjavik Academy, grant application

  A proposal from the Reykjavík Academy, dated 3 April 2009, has been submitted requesting a grant of kr. 50,000 for a symposium on 80 years of social housing in Iceland.

• 0904102 – Homeowners' Association, grant application

  A request from the Homeowners' Interest Group, dated 11.4.2009, has been submitted, requesting financial support of kr. 400,000 to cover operating costs for the 2009 financial year.
