    • 0801344 – Town Centre, development plan

      Bjarni Reynarsson, a planning consultant, attended the meeting and discussed the final review of the development plan for Hafnarfjörður's town centre.

      It was decided to hold a meeting with the Planning and Building Committee on 31 March, where the final draft will be discussed.;

    • 0903068 – Fjarðargata 13-15, sign

      Á afgreiðslufundi skipulags og byggingarráðs Hafnarfjarðar 12. mars s.l., var eftirfarandi mál;%0DEldborg, kiwanisklúbbur sækir 06.03.2009 um endurnýjun fyrir skilti sem var samþykkt 28.04.2004, samkvæmt teikningum Sveinbjörns Hinrikssonar.%0D%0DErindinu er vísað til umsagnar miðbæjarnefndar.

      The City Centre Committee considers that the said development is incompatible with plans for co-ordination and equity in the development of the city centre, in accordance with the city centre development plan. The Committee therefore opposes the granting of planning permission.;

    • 0903136 – Strandgata, car park

      Booking for the use of parking spaces on the pavements on Strandgata.

      It is proposed that the sign with the inscription „30 mins from 8am-6pm“, which stands on the pavement in front of Hafnarfjörður Town Hall on Strandgata, be moved to the entrance of the car park to prevent parking on the pavement. The current position of the sign suggests that parking on the pavement is permitted from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. However, as everyone knows, pavements are for pedestrians, and it is illegal to park a car on them. Furthermore, the committee proposes that a solution is found to prevent cars from being parked on Strandgatan in front of house number 21. Photographs are in the appendix.;
