0810222 – Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður, amendment at Öldutúnsskóli
A letter from the Ministry of the Environment, dated 26 February 2009, was presented, confirming an amendment to the Master Plan of Hafnarfjörður 2005–2025 with regard to Öldutúnsskóli and its vicinity.

0807162 – Öldutúnsskóli and its surroundings, detailed plan
The proposal by ASK Architects for a revised detailed plan for the Öldutúnsskóli site, dated [], was reconsidered. 16.10.2008. A preliminary presentation meeting was held on 08.07.2008. Previous minutes from the planning and building department's presentation meeting have been submitted. This matter is related to case no. 0703023: Öldutúnsskóli – proposals from the working group/designers. The proposal was advertised on 24 November 2008, and the deadline for comments was 12 January 2009. Comments were received. A previously reported information meeting was held on 1 December 2008. At its last meeting, the Planning and Building Committee instructed the Planning and Building Department to prepare a summary of the comments and a proposed response to them. A summary from the Planning and Building Department, dated 05.02.2009, was previously submitted.
The Planning and Building Committee approves the planning proposal and that the matter be concluded in accordance with Article 25 of the Planning and Building Act No. 73/1997. The Planning and Building Committee makes the following recommendation to the City Council: “The City Council of Hafnarfjörður approves the proposal for a detailed plan for Öldutúnsskóli and the surrounding area, dated. 16.10.2008 and that the matter be concluded in accordance with Article 25 of the Planning and Building Act No. 73/1997.“;

0902197 – 36 Austurgata, enquiry.
Gunnar Guðmundsson is submitting an enquiry regarding the construction of a garage/storage shed on the plot, in accordance with the attached documents. The matter was considered at the processing meeting of the Planning and Building Officer on 25 February 2008, which referred it to the Planning and Building Committee.
The Planning and Building Committee is negative towards the application, as the detailed plan for the town centre does not provide for a garage in this location.;

0812095 – Hverfisgata 41A, demolition
A letter from the owners of the above-mentioned plot, dated 8 February 2009, was presented, requesting discussions regarding the final landscaping of the plot. At its meeting on 12 February 2009, the Town Council instructed the Planning and Building Committee to proceed with the matter. A report from the Planning and Building Department regarding the use of the plot, dated 04.03.2009, was presented. A report from the Hafnarfjörður Folk Museum was also presented.
The Planning and Building Committee postpones the matter.;

0902012 – Hringbraut 30, alteration, enquiry.
On 03.02.2009, Jón M. Halldórsson submitted an application to demolish a garage on the plot and build another in its place, which will include a utility room, a guest toilet and a new entrance hall for the dwelling, in accordance with the drawings. See also the information on the attached drawing. A shadow projection from KJhönnun was previously submitted. On 24 February 2009, the Planning and Building Committee directed the applicant to explore ways to lower the proposed extension.
The Planning and Building Committee welcomes the application and requests the complete documentation in accordance with s. 12.2 of the Building Regulations, which will be sent for consultation in accordance with s. 7 of the Planning and Building Act, should an application for planning permission be submitted.;

0902342 – Móabarð 32, enquiry
On 27.02.09, Gudlaugur Jónasson submitted an enquiry, requesting permission to install a garage door in the south cellar and a parking space for it, facing Móabarði 36. He also requests permission to create a flat in the west cellar; see attached documents. The application was considered at the processing meeting of the Planning and Building Officer on 04.03.2008, which referred it to the Planning and Building Committee.
The Planning and Building Committee is favourable to the application and authorises the applicant to prepare a proposal for a change to the detailed plan in accordance with the application, which will then be subject to local consultation in accordance with 2nd paragraph of Article 26 of the Planning and Building Act. It is noted that a granny flat may not be registered as a separate property.;

0902116 – Grænakinn 4, enquiry
On 10 February, Stefán Ómar Jakobsson tabled an enquiry regarding the construction of a conservatory to a detached house in accordance with the attached drawings by Halldór Hannesson, dated 09/02/09. Postponed at the last meeting.
The Planning and Building Committee welcomes the application and instructs the Planning and Building Department to prepare a proposal for a change to the detailed plan, in consultation with the residents of Bröttukinn 1 and 3.;

0901276 – Grandatröð 10, zoning plan amendment
Björn Gíslason applies on 28.01.2009 for a change to the detailed plan for Grandatröð 10, in accordance with drawings by Ásmundur Jóhannsson. The application was subject to local consultation on 04.02.2009 in accordance with the 2nd paragraph of Article 26 of the Planning and Building Act, and the consultation period closed on 04.03.2009. A comment was received and is on file.
The Planning and Building Committee considers the objection not to be directly related to the matter, approves the detailed plan, and resolves that the matter be concluded in accordance with Section 26 of the Planning and Building Act. The Planning and Building Committee also instructs the Planning and Building Department to draw the attention of the Environmental Health Authority to the sanitary conditions of the building.;

0901247 – Smyrlahraun 1, loft conversion.
On 26/01/2009, Vernharður Skarphéðinsson applied for alterations to the dormers on the south-east and north-west elevations, along with a revised finish to the roof eaves and gables, in accordance with drawings by Kári Eiríksson dated 21/01/2009. The Planning and Building Officer referred the application for neighbourhood consultation on 28 January 2009, in accordance with paragraph 7 of Article 43 of the Planning and Building Act, but also instructed the department's surveyor to measure the dormer. It has been found that the size of the dormer did not comply with section 79.16 of the Building Regulations. On 10 February 2009, the Planning and Building Committee requested an explanation from the property owner. A letter from Haraldur Magnússon, dated 26 February 2009, was presented. The minutes of the site manager's meeting with the owner of Smyrlahraun 1, dated 2 March 2009, were presented.
The Planning and Building Committee considers that the householder must have been aware of the size of the dormers and requires him to bring them into conformity with the approved drawings, in accordance with section 79.16 of the Building Regulations.
