Consideration was given to the proposal by architect Ingimundur Sveinsson for an amendment to the Hvamm local plan, dated 27 February 2008, concerning Stekkjarhvamm. The matter was referred back by SBH on 10 February last.

The residents' recent request regarding speeding in Heiðvangur was taken up again. Residents' responses to a letter sent to 25 houses were presented. Seven replies were received, of which five were against the proposal and two were in favour.
In light of the comments received, UHU agrees that the proposed barrier will not be installed.;

Traffic safety audit of new junctions, carried out by Eflu Ltd on 19 November 2008.
UHU approves proposal 4 and emphasises that a left-turn lane should be created at the T-junction on the connecting road between Hellnahrauns II and III. UHU recommends that SBH approve the proposal.;

A resident's request has been submitted asking for a roundabout at the end of a street to be marked as such.
UHU agrees that guide signs should be installed to indicate that cars should not be parked in the roundabout.;

0809175 – Klukkuberg 11-41, traffic safety issues
The request from the residents' association of Klukkuberg 11-41, dated 16 September, for a speed hump opposite Klukkuberg 15 and 31 is reconsidered. A speed measurement carried out in Klukkuberg on 13 and 17 November last year was presented. The highest speed measured up Klukkuberg at no. 15 was 44 km/h and at no. 31 was 44 km/h. The average speed up Klukkuberg was 23 km/h at no. 15 and 28 km/h at no. 31.

In an email dated 8 December 2008, Jónína Einarsdóttir of Stekkjarhvammur 24 objects to cars being parked on the footpath at Stekkjarhvammur 22–36. The matter was referred to the committee at SBH on 16 December last.
UHU points out that the path in question is within the grounds of these houses, and residents are therefore permitted to put up signs to remind people of the purpose of this cul-de-sac. UHU refers the matter to SBH.;

0801323 – Ring Road 2 A, 2B, 2C residents' association, traffic noise

Regulation No. 1000/2005 has been adopted, under which municipalities are required to produce noise maps for the town's busier streets, and this is to be completed by 2012. A subsequent action plan is to be drawn up for those locations where noise levels exceed the thresholds. UHU proposes that this work be undertaken. UHU also proposes that the matter be examined alongside that work.
