  1. General presentations

    • 0812164 – Floating dock VOOV, claim for transport.

      A letter from Loftur Árnason, Managing Director of Ístak hf., to the Mayor and Chairman of the Harbour Board, dated 3 February 2009, was presented.

      The Harbour Board instructs the Harbour Master to reply to the letter and reiterate that the letter writer is mistaken. The relevant invoices are to be addressed to Vélsmiðja Orms og Víglundar ehf. as the client.

    • 0807014 – Fenders at Álgarður in Straumsvík

      A proposal was put forward to tender the installation of fenders at the Aluminium Park in Straumsvík through a restricted tender. A proposal was also put forward regarding which companies would be given the opportunity to tender for the work.

      The Harbour Board unanimously approves both proposals.

    • 0702364 – 100th anniversary of the Port of Hafnarfjörður.

      The harbour master reported to the harbour board on the work of the anniversary committee, in the absence of the committee's chairman. The minutes of the committee's two most recent meetings were presented.

      The Harbour Board expresses its satisfaction with the committee's work and instructs it to develop its ideas.

    • 0808158 – Óseyrarbraut 29, the Sewerage Tank

      The harbour master reported on the status of the project to secure access for the Hafnarfjörður Sewerage Authority to its pressure tank on Óseyrarbraut. He reported on his interviews with the parties involved.

      The Harbour Board instructs the Harbour Master to enter into an agreement with the neighbouring plot holders regarding the Sewerage Board's access to the pressure tank.

    • 0902148 – Enquiry regarding the plot extension for 29 Óseyrarbraut

      A question was raised regarding the harbour board's position on Trefjar Ltd's proposals for the company's future vision at Óseyrarbraut.

      The Harbour Board instructs the harbour master to investigate the status of land allocation in the area and report back to the Harbour Board at its next meeting.

    • 0805037 – Harbour area, environmental issues

      The harbour master informed the harbour board that the Building Control Officer of Hafnarfjörður had a working group at their disposal to tackle unsatisfactory maintenance of plots and areas outside of them, a proposal that this working group be tasked with addressing the poor upkeep on the harbour grounds, and that it has been decided to add a representative of the harbour to the working group when the harbour grounds are discussed.

      The Harbour Board welcomes that the matter has been placed on a firm footing and reiterates the necessity of tidying up and ensuring good upkeep of the harbour area and the harbour's grounds.The Harbour Board agrees to appoint a permanent environmental officer for the harbour, who will be responsible for the harbour's environmental matters.
