  The Director of the Department reported on discussions with the Employment Service regarding the establishment of a job centre in Hafnarfjörður and presented a draft agreement between the Employment Service and the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður.

  At its meeting on 19 November, the Town Council requested a report from the Family Council on the draft of a new police by-law.

  The matter will be dealt with at the next meeting of the family council.;

  An overview of child protection matters in 2009 was presented, with a comparison to 2008.

  The matter was deferred at the last council meeting.

  The Family Council directs the Executive Board to commence, in collaboration with the Town Council's working group, preparations for the construction of a 60-bed care home in accordance with the current planning permission at Völlum 7.;

  A report was presented on unemployment in Hafnarfjörður in 2009, broken down by month, age, education, etc.

  The decision of the Appeals Committee in case no. 1/2010 was presented.

  A new agreement for extended care for disabled children aged 10-16 was presented for information.
