Introduction

• 1111041 – Family Services Budget 2012

  Present at the meeting were the Operations Manager of Family Services, the Sports Officer, the ÍTH committee, Linda Leifsd. and Erla Hjartard. from ÍTH, the Chairperson. Director and Operations Manager presented the draft financial plan for family services for 2012.

  The Family Council refers the draft budget for family services for 2012, together with proposals for fee schedules, to the Town Council.Representatives of the Independence Party on the Family Council will, when the budget for Hafnarfjörður is presented to the Town Council and the Municipal Council, discuss the budget for the municipality as a whole.

General presentations

• 1111151 – Terms of reference of the Family Council

  A new new letter of mandate for the family council was presented.

  The Family Council approves the letter of instruction for its part and refers it to the Municipal Council.

• 1111269 – Senior citizens, item 21 from the Social Affairs Committee

  A submission from the Committees' Department of the Althingi, dated 23 November, has been received, requesting an opinion on a motion for a parliamentary resolution from the Welfare Committee on regular annual visits to older people for preventative purposes.

  Drafts of the Family Council's report were presented. The Director of the Department was tasked with finalising the matter.

• 10101162 – National University Hospital, Hafnarfjörður (St. Joseph's Hospital-Sólvangur)

  The Family Council regrets the outcome regarding the operations of St. Joseph's Hospital and expresses concern about the reduction in services that will result from the hospital's closure.
