  1. Part A of building permits

    • 1008333 – Kirkjuvellir 5, alteration

      Thrasturverk Ltd. submitted test drawings for comments at the final inspection on 31 August 2010, in accordance with the drawings by Jón Guðmundson dated 24 July 2010. New drawings were received on 24 November 2011.

      The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with Article 11 of the Building Regulations No. 160/2010. Approved drawings. Please note that the sizes of the flats are incorrectly recorded, and the number of parking spaces is therefore not in accordance with the actual size of the flats. 12 parking spaces are missing.

    • 1111380 – Fjarðargata 13-15, temporary permit for a container.

      On 29 November 2011, the Hafnarfjörður Rescue Squad applied for a temporary siting permit for a container on the plot at 13-15 Fjardargata. The container will be located there from 26 December 2011 to 3 January 2012. See attached drawing. The consent of the landowner is available.

      The Planning and Building Officer approves the temporary siting permit from 26 December to 3 January 2012. After this period, the containers will be removed.

    • 1111381 – Tjarnarvellir 1 permit for containers, application.

      On 29 November 2011, the Rescue Squad of Hafnarfjörður applies for permission to place four containers on the plot at Tjarnarvellir 1 from 26 December 2011 to 8 January 2012, in accordance with the attached map of the area.

      The Planning and Building Officer approves the temporary permit from 26 December to 8 January 2012. After this period, the containers will be removed.

    • 1111190 – 36 Austurgata, change to the registration table.

      Gunnar Guðmundsson and Harpa Lind Hilmarsdóttir applied on 16.11.11 for a change to the registration plan, in accordance with drawings by Erlend Á. Hjálmarsson dated 07.11.11. New drawings were received on 30.11.11.

      The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with Article 11 of the Buildings Act no. 160/2010.

    • 1111387 – Alcan in Iceland, Straumsvík 222.mht 17, temporary building permit.

      On 30 November 2011, Alcan in Iceland applied for a temporary two-year building permit for temporary accommodation to house a camp for workers on the ongoing works at the aluminium smelter, in accordance with drawings by Sigbjörn Kjartansson dated 13 October 2011.

      The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with Article 11 of the Buildings Act no. 160/2010.

    • 1111393 – Steypustöðin ehf application for an operating licence

      Steypustöðin ehf is applying for a permit to operate a concrete and paving slab plant at Hringhellu 2, Hafnarfjörður. Attached are the operating licence, a contract with the Innovation Centre for external supervision of concrete production, a contract with Güteschutz Beton- und Fertigwerke Nord e.V. for the supervision of pavement slab production, and a description of the production control system.

      The Planning and Building Officer grants the operating licence in accordance with the Building Regulations No. 441/1998, section 131.10.

    Part B: Organisational Matters

    • 1108121 – Fléttuvellir 5. Site management.

      A complaint has been made about the condition of the site. Exposed cast iron and an unfenced site. On 22/08/11, the Planning and Building Officer directed the owners to bring the site into a satisfactory condition within 4 weeks.

      The Planning and Building Officer imposes a daily fine of kr. 20,000 on the landowner from 1 January 2012 if the plot is not brought into an acceptable condition within that time.

    • 1111347 – Einiberg 17, amendment to the building permit

      On 28 November 2011, Páll Sveinbjörnsson applied to convert a garage door into a double door, in accordance with drawings by Sveinn Ívarsson dated 15 October 2008, amended on 18 November 2011.

      The Planning and Building Officer advises the applicant to seek the approval of the Capital Region Fire and Rescue Service.

    • 1012160 – Eyrartröð 13, final inspection

      The final inspection of assessment unit no. 03 is incomplete.

      The Planning and Building Officer announces a final inspection of Part 03 on 10 January 2012, in accordance with Article 36 of the Building Regulations No. 160/2010. The building supervisor is required to take the measures stipulated by the regulations.

    • 1111370 – Churchyards 3. Construction stages and use.

      Kirkjuvellir 3. Construction stages and use.

      The Planning and Building Officer has scheduled a final inspection for 11 January 2012, in accordance with Article 36 of the Building Regulations Act No. 160/2010. The building supervisor is required to take the necessary steps as stipulated by the law.

    • 1111372 – Shipyard Lane 7-9. Site tidiness.

      Site maintenance. Complaints have been received regarding water accumulation in the excavated foundations at 7-9 Skipalóns. The fence is not child-safe, with children playing nearby and a risk of accidents. Owner: Íslandsbanki.

      The Planning and Building Officer requires the owner to make good the foundation in a satisfactory manner within 3 weeks.Failure to respond to this notice within the specified time will result in the Planning and Building Officer imposing a daily fine on the landowner in accordance with Article 68.6 of the Building Regulations No. 441/1998 and paragraph 2 of Article 56 of the Construction Act No. 160/2010.
