The Singing Christmas will be held for the fourteenth time on 3 December. A programme with the timings for the participating choirs has been submitted.

1011117 – Grindavík-Seltún, Service contract with Reykjanes Nature Reserve.
Óskar Sævarsson and Helena Mjöll Jóhannsdóttir, on behalf of Reykjanes Folkvangur, attended the meeting and explained how tourist services were provided in Seltún in the summer of 2011. The City of Hafnarfjörður has a service agreement with Reykjanes National Park for the operation of toilets and a service building in Seltún. A ranger's report was presented.
Discussion of the Reykjanes National Park project with a focus on Seltún, particularly concerning a permanent solution for the water supply in the area. Discussion of the fact that the agreement between the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður and the national park regarding the operation of Seltún expires at the end of 2012. The committee thanks Óskar and Helena for the information and requests to see the final figures on the significant increase in tourists at Seltún.

Draft agreement between the National Film Archive of Iceland and the City of Hafnarfjörður.
It was decided to hold an extra meeting at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, 23rd November to go over the draft agreement in more detail.

1111072 – Development Fund for Tourist Destinations. The application deadline is 25 November.
The cultural and tourism representative reported a conversation with Sverrir Bollason, chairman of the board of Reykjanes National Park. The board would prefer to apply at the next allocation when the management plan (conservation plan) for Reykjanes National Park is in place.
The committee agrees that a further application should be made in February 2012, in cooperation with the board of Reykjanes National Park.

1106052 – Survey of the number of tourists in Hafnarfjörður in 2011.
A report from Rannsóknir og ráðgjöf ferðaþjónustunnar ehf. was presented. The report details the results of a survey of the number of tourists in Hafnarfjörður in the summer of 2011.
Rögnvaldur Guðmundsson, from Research and Consulting in Tourism Ltd., attended the meeting and went through the report. The committee thanks Rögnvaldur for the presentation.
