Part A of building permits

• 1009262 – Krýsuvík application for a permit to drill boreholes

  HS-Orka, in a letter dated 10.10.11, applies for an extension of the works permit for boreholes in Krýsuvík. The Planning and Building Officer approved the works permit on 06/10/2010 following consideration by the Planning and Building Committee, subject to the following conditions: The Planning and Building Officer approves the application subject to the following conditions: The excavation will be removed at the expense of HS Orka. Drilling cuttings shall be collected in a collection/cutting container. HS Orka shall implement the necessary mitigation measures for noise and, furthermore, due to these impacts, consideration must be given to the choice of season when performance measurements are carried out, with regard to disturbance to outdoor recreational users and tourists. It must be ensured that any potential archaeological remains are not disturbed. Consider the lighting, as this area is used for stargazing.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application subject to the following conditions: Excavated material is to be removed at the expense of HS Orka. Drill cuttings are to be collected in a collection/siltation tank. HS Orka shall implement the necessary mitigation measures for noise. Furthermore, due to these impacts, consideration must be given to the choice of season when performance measurements are carried out, with regard to disruption to outdoor recreational users and tourists. It must be ensured that any potential archaeological remains are not disturbed. Consideration must be given to lighting, as the area is used for stargazing. The application complies with the Planning Act No. 123/2010.

• 1110081 – Vallarbyggð 6, renewal of building permit

  Thórður Magnússon applies on 06.10.11 for the renewal of a building permit which was approved on 14 October 2009.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with Article 11 of the Buildings Act no. 160/2010.

• 1110271 – Erluás 39. Working drawings

  Steindór Guðjónsson, registration no. 311241-4869, on 24 October 2011 submits test drawings, drawn by Sigurður Þorvarðarson, building engineer, registration no. 141250-4189, dated 10 June 2001.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with Article 11 of the Buildings Act no. 160/2010.

• 1110143 – Álfaskeið 16, change to building permit

  On 12 October 2011, Gísli Jónsson applied to build an extension to the house, a conservatory and a greenhouse, in accordance with drawings by Pálmi Ólason dated 12 October 2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with Article 11 of the Building Regulations Act no. 160/2010, with reference to Article 44, 3rd paragraph of the Planning Act no. 123/2010.

• 11032743 – Trönuhraun 10, door on the east side

  On 29.03.2011, Trönuhraun ehf applied for changes to the exterior, requesting permission to install a door on the east side, in accordance with drawings by Kristján Eggertsson dated 01.02.2011.A letter regarding cancellation was received from Lögheimar ehf on 24/10/11.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with Article 11 of the Buildings Act no. 160/2010.

Part B: Organisational Matters

• 1110302 – Plot for a H.S. Veitna hf. distribution station at the junction with Straumsvík

  A request has been received from HS-veitur dated 05.10.11, requesting the removal of a pole-mounted substation on the Alcan site and the installation of a small substation in its place on a site provided by Alcan.

  The Planning and Building Officer requests a report from the Road Administration.

• 1110262 – Álfhella 17, enquiry

  On 21 October 2011, the Civil Defence and Rescue Association Landsbjörg and Gunnar Bergmann Stefánsson submitted an enquiry, requesting an answer as to whether it is possible to obtain a building permit for an office/staff cabin on the plot at Álfhella 17. A temporary building permit will be granted for 1 year while the foundations and access for the building on its final site are being prepared, see documents.

  The Planning and Building Officer welcomes the application and requests the final drawings, in accordance with section 12.2 of the Building Regulations No. 441/1998, with the building permit application.

• 0906206 – Stekkjarberg 9, site preparation

  Complaints have been received regarding the landscaping of the plot, the workshop, etc., as well as an open basement where water is flowing in, creating a danger for children.

  The Planning and Building Officer requests information regarding plans for the continuation of building works. If these are not received within two weeks, the Planning and Building Officer will revoke the building permit in accordance with the second paragraph of Article 14 of the Building Regulations Act no. 160/2010.

• 1110276 – Íshella 8, extension, inspections, construction stage and use.

  The Building Control Officer approved an extension to house number 8 on Icehellu on 15 March 2005. The last recorded inspection was of the extension's foundation slab on 11 May 2006, but the extension is now complete and in use.

  The Planning and Building Officer has scheduled a final inspection for 28.11.11, in accordance with Article 36 of the Building Regulations Act No. 160/2010. The building supervisor is required to take the necessary steps as stipulated by the law.

• 1110257 – Ásvellir 1, units 03, 04 and 05 Self-service station, construction stage and use

  On 15 December 2010, planning permission was granted for an N1 self-service station at Ásvellir 1. The station has been put into operation without any prior safety or final inspections. A cadastral survey is also missing.

  The Planning and Building Officer has scheduled a final inspection for 23.11.11 in accordance with section 36 of the Building Regulations Act no. 160/2010. The building supervisor is required to take the measures stipulated by the law. A declaration of unit ownership is also required.

• 1110223 – Eyrartröð 12, extension, completion certificate and registration

  On 10 June 2009, planning permission was granted for an extension at plot no. 12, Eyrartröð, for the owner, Opal Holding ehf. Due to a misunderstanding between the designer and the owners, the drawings showed a change of registration from 4 separate units to 1 unit, which means that instead of 4 plot numbers, there will only be one. An application for a change of registration was not submitted. This requires either a merger document to finalise the registration, or for the owners to submit as-built drawings with the unit numbering and registration corrected. Only unit 01 was to be extended by the area of the extension.

  The Planning and Building Officer has scheduled a final inspection for 24.11.11, in accordance with Article 36 of the Building Regulations Act No. 160/2010. The building supervisor is required to take the measures stipulated by the Act.

• 1110292 – Sörlaskeið 21, stage of construction and use

  The stables at Sörlaskeið 21 are registered at building stage 4 and 5 and assessment stage 5 and 8.

  The Planning and Building Officer has scheduled a final inspection for 25.11.11, in accordance with Article 36 of the Building Regulations Act No. 160/2010. The building supervisor is required to take the necessary steps as stipulated by the Act.

• 1110261 – Trönuhraun 6, alteration

  Stálskip ehf applies on 21/10/11 for a change to the Bo door in space 0103, in accordance with the drawings by Ágúst G. Sigurðarson dated 04/10/11.

  The Planning and Building Officer has deferred the matter. The change must be shown on the elevations drawing.

• 1110251 – Dalshraun 15, alteration

  Fylkir ehf applies on 21/10/2011 for a change to the internal layout of the basement and ground floor. Also requested is an increase in the height of the fence to the north of the building and a lightweight timber cladding to the main entrance and the cellar entrance, in accordance with drawings by Orri Árnason dated 14.10.2011. The owner's consent has also been received, see documents.

  The Planning and Building Officer has deferred the matter as the submitted documents are insufficient. Please see the attached comments.
