    • 1109306 – The Municipality of Vogar - request for cooperation

      A proposal has been submitted by the Municipality of Vogar seeking a partnership with the Hafnarfjörður School Office to provide specialist services for the municipality's nursery and primary schools, in accordance with the law at any given time.

      The stage manager reported on the status of the matter.

    • European Democracy Week 10-16 October 2011

      A summary was presented of how work was carried out during Democracy Week in the town's primary schools.

    • 0811240 – Education Council, grant awards

      A grant application was submitted by the association 'New Approach' for a course for the boards of the primary school student associations in Hafnarfjörður.

      The Education Council approves the grant application.

    • Average operating cost per pupil in all primary schools 2011

      Information from Statistics Iceland was presented.

    • 1110159 – Elective subjects in primary schools

      A report was presented, sent by the Ministry of Education and Culture for information, on optional subjects in primary schools during the 2010-2011 school year. In accordance with the Ministry of Education and Culture's three-year plan for the evaluation of school operations, a survey was conducted in the spring of 2011 on the organisation and scope of elective subjects at the upper secondary school level. Capacent Gallup was commissioned to carry out the survey, which was sent to all secondary schools with years 8–10, a total of 146 schools.

      The Operations Manager of the Education Department reviewed the department's 8-month accounts.
