  1. Part A of building permits

    • 1109154 – Blikaás 16, alteration

      Bjarni Frostason applies on 13.09.11 for an alteration to the internal layout, in accordance with drawings by Thormóður Sveinsson dated 30.08.11.

      The Planning and Building Officer approves the application in accordance with Article 11 of the Buildings Act no. 160/2010.

    • 1109158 – Straumsvík, steel service centre. Building permit

      On 13 September 2011, Straumsvík applied for a permit to install a steel service ladder on the south side of the Kersmiðja, in accordance with drawings by architect Rafn Kristjánsson dated 8 September 2011.

      The Planning and Building Officer approves the building plans in accordance with Article 11 of the Building Regulations No. 160/2010. A building permit will be issued once the conditions of paragraphs 1-4 of Article 13 of the Building Regulations have been fulfilled.

    Part B: Organisational Matters

    • 1004009 – Skógarás 6, enquiry

      A letter from Einar Gautur Steingrímsson, solicitor, and Gunnhildur Pétursdóttir, solicitor, dated 14 September 2011, was submitted, requesting that the said house be allowed to remain and that the detailed plan for Phase 3 of Ásland be amended accordingly.

      The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.

    • 1109127 – Sléttuhlíð, area for bees

      An email has been received from Helgi Laxdal and Katrín Árnadóttir dated 09.09.09, in which they request a plot of land to set up a beehive.

      The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.

    • 1109121 – Selvogsgata 16, Extension. Enquiry

      On 09.09.2011, Thórður Guðbjörnsson and Margrét Þórarinsdóttir submitted an enquiry to extend the house in accordance with the attached drawings.

      The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.

    • 1109069 – Vallabarð 14, zoning plan amendment

      Halldór Ingólfsson, dated 06.09.11, applies for a zoning plan amendment at Vallabarður 14, according to the drawing dated 10.08.11. A building envelope for an entrance and fence on the plot boundary. The application was subject to local consultation in accordance with section 2 of Article 43 of the Planning Act no. 123/2010. Written consent was received from all neighbours.

      The Planning and Building Officer approves the application and that the processing will be concluded in accordance with paragraph 4 of Article 44 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010.

    • 1109128 – Copper Plate 1 zoning amendment

      An application has been received from Steypustöðin Borg for a change to the building plot on Koparhellu 1.

      The Planning and Building Officer agrees that a proposal for a change to the detailed plan will be prepared in accordance with the application.

    • 1109156 – Suðurgata 72 illegal works

      The board of the residents' association at 72 Suðurgata requests, by letter dated 27.07.2011, that illegal works be stopped in flat marked 01-0001. Works to convert the premises into two flats are being carried out.

      The application for an increase in the number of dwellings has been refused. The owner is required to remove the unauthorised works within four weeks. Failure to do so will result in the planning and building officer exercising the power under section 56 of the Building Regulations Act to impose a daily penalty.

    • 1101169 – Lónsbraut 4. Site condition survey.

      Viðir Ólafsson, on behalf of Rafspan ehf., objects by letter dated 9 September 2011 to the unacceptable condition of the property portion registered in the name of Rafspan ehf. at Lónsbraut 4.

      The planning and building officer points out that, according to the property partition deed approved on 14 December 2004, the plot is common property for all and is therefore the responsibility of all in the homeowners' association (the plot share is in proportion to the overall property share).

    • 1109126 – Thrastaras 73, building stage and use.

      Final inspection incomplete. Thrastarás 73 is at construction stage 4 (weatherproof).

      The Planning and Building Officer has scheduled a final inspection for 04/10/11 in accordance with Article 36 of the Building Regulations Act No. 160/2010. The building supervisor is required to take the necessary measures as stipulated by the law.

    • 1109159 – Flatahraun 1, stage of construction and use.

      Final review incomplete.

      The Planning and Building Officer has scheduled a final inspection for 05/10/11, in accordance with Article 36 of the Building Regulations Act No. 160/2010. The building supervisor is required to take the necessary steps as stipulated by the Act.

    • 1109122 – Álfhella 7 and 9, query regarding plots

      Ingólfur Örn Steingrímsson submits a question dated 09.09.2011 regarding the plots of land at Álfhella.

    • 1109155 – Norðurbakki 11 and 13, conversion of ownership from shared to private. Building permit.

      On 13 September 2011, Fagtak ehf applied to change the ownership of a portion of the roof terrace from the joint ownership of some to private ownership, in accordance with drawings by Sigurður Þorvarðarson dated 25 January 2006.

      The Planning and Building Officer has deferred the matter as the submitted documents are insufficient. Please see the attached comments.
