  Taken up again, but at the town council meeting on 31 August the matter was referred back to the town board. Gunnar Axel Axelsson left the meeting during the discussion of this matter.

  The town council refers the matter back to the town board for further discussion at the request of the representative of the Independence Party.

  A response letter from the Ministry of the Interior, dated 22 August 20911, was submitted, confirming the submission of the City of Hafnarfjörður's three-year plan for 2012-2014.

  Taken up again, but at the meeting of the town council on 11 May, the town's solicitor was instructed to prepare a draft opinion. The requested opinion was presented.

  The Town Council adopts the report and refers the matter to the Environment and Operations Committee.

  The interim accounts of Strætó bs for the period January – June 2011 were presented for information.

  The interim accounts of Sorpa bs. for the period January–June 2011, as approved at the board meeting on 29 August, were presented for information.

  The situation was reviewed and a memorandum was submitted from the Executive Director of LSH Hafnarfjörður, dated 14 June, regarding the matter.

• 1109008 – Extended stay of disabled secondary school students

  The Family Council's resolution from its meeting on 7 September is presented. It is proposed that the service will be located in the Old Library. Funding is provided for in this year's budget.

• 0702036 – Kaplakrika Sports Hall, construction works

  The matter of FH's recent letter to the Kaplakriki Building Committee regarding the condition of the athletics hall was taken up again. At the meeting of the town council on 7th July, an engineering assessment of the building's condition was requested.The Director of the Environment and Operations Department attended the meeting, along with Bjarni Jón Pálsson from the engineering firm Efla, and presented the assessment.

• 1109066 – SSH Future Group, waste collection

  The proposals and final report of the SSH project group on waste collection, dated 21 June, regarding a shared vision for the future of waste sorting and waste management, were presented.$line$The Mayor presented the work of the future forum and the project groups that have already submitted their reports, as detailed in the next four items below. $line$$line$The agenda for the future group and the SSH board meeting was presented, convening a breakfast meeting on 23 September at 08:30 to discuss these matters.

Applications

• 1105246 – Stekkjarhvammur 74, plot enlargement

  Arnar Þór Þorláksson Baxter, Harpa Þórsdóttir and Ingibjörg Brynjólfsdóttir apply by letter dated 8 June 2011 for an extension of the plot at 74 Stekkjarhvamm (see attached documents), to include a plot of land they have had in their care.Meeting of the Planning and Building Officer on 29 June 2011, the application is approved and the matter is referred to the Town Council.

  The Town Council proposes to the Borough Council: “The Borough Council of Hafnarfjörður approves the granting of the requested plot extension in accordance with the available documentation and the further conditions of the Planning and Building Officer.“
