• 1006187 – Councils and committees 2010-2014, elections,.

  The City Council of Hafnarfjörður approved the following changes to the Planning and Building Committee on 29 June 2011: Guðfinna Guðmundsdóttir, Birkihvammi 15, to take the seat of a main member on the Planning and Building Committee, in place of Gunnar Axel Gunnarsson. The election of the committee's deputy chairperson was then held.

  The vice-chairman was elected Sigurbergur Árnason.

• SB040377 – Minutes of the Planning and Building Officer

  Minutes of the planning and building officer's disposal meetings of 22.06.11 and 29.06.11 were presented. Item A was disposed of by the building officer in accordance with the Building Act No. 160/2010.

• Street name, confirmation of Viking Street

  A proposal to change the name of a section of Strandgata to Viking Street was discussed.

  The Planning and Building Committee approves the name change in principle but instructs the Planning and Building Department to formalise the matter.

• 1106061 – Planning permission, regulation, request for comments

  The new letter from Iris Bjargmundsdottir, on behalf of the Minister for the Environment, dated 3 June 2011, which refers to the draft regulations on implementation permits, is considered. The deadline for comments is 15 August 2011. The director's proposal for a response is presented.

  The Planning and Building Committee endorses the director's report and adopts it with the amendments made.

• 1102768 – Building regulations, draft for consultation

  The letter from the Ministry of the Environment dated 30 May 2011, requesting a review of the draft new building regulations, was taken up again. The deadline for submissions is 15 August. The director's proposal for a response was presented.

  Postponed.

• 0801363 – Reykjavíkurvegur, activity area, framework plan

  A new masterplan for the event area on Reykjavikurveg was considered. Representatives from Plúsarkitektar attended the meeting and presented new proposals.

  The Planning and Building Committee thanks the presenter for the presentation. The Planning and Building Committee requests the final drawings and a report for its next meeting.

• 0709199 – Flatahraun 13, detailed plan

  The request from Pétur Guðmundsson, Chairman of the Board of Eykt ehf, dated 18.05.11, is reconsidered. The request asks for permission to submit a proposal for an amendment to the detailed plan for the plot. A previous application for a zoning plan amendment, together with a drawing, was submitted. The applicants' discussions were previously reported, and they presented their case at the last meeting. A new planning drawing by Plúsarkitektar, dated 27.06.11, is presented.

  The Planning and Building Committee agrees to advertise the local plan amendment in accordance with Section 43 of the Act No. 123/2010.

• 1004254 – Flatahraun 7, plot enlargement and site preparation

  BJB Exhaust Service at Flatahrauni 7 is applying for an extension and a change of use of the plot in accordance with drawings by Sigurður Þorvarðarson dated April 2011. A new application was received on 3 July, and a report from Plús Arkitekta on 4 July.

  The Planning and Building Committee endorses the opinion of Plús Arkitektar dated 4 July. The Planning and Building Committee authorises the plot holder to submit a proposal for a change to the detailed plan in accordance with the opinion.

• SB040347 – Environment Committee/Agenda 21

  The minutes of the Environment and Agenda 21 Committee from 23 June were presented, along with an overview of the committee's work over the past year.

• SB050293 – Task Force on Beautification Awards

  Aesthetic awards in Hafnarfjörður are under consideration.

  SBH agrees not to appoint a working group for beautification awards for the time being, as tree and garden cultivation is well covered on the City of Hafnarfjörður's website, where the tree of the month is featured. A special thank you is extended to those who have served on the beautification awards working group in recent years for their contribution.

• 0704123 – Kaldársel, detailed plan

  The state of planning for the area was discussed. Previous discussions with the representatives of Kaldársel were reported.

  The Planning and Building Committee instructs Thráinn Hauksson of Landslag to prepare a detailed plan in accordance with the documents presented at the meeting and the cost estimate he submitted.

• 0907153 – Hverfisgata-Mjósund-Austurgata-Gunnarssund zoning plan

  The proposal from the Department of Planning and Building for a detailed plan for a site bounded by Mjósund, Austurgata, Gunnarssund and the upper boundaries of the properties at Hverfisgata 31-49 is reconsidered. The Planning and Building Department previously reported on an investigation into access to the lighthouse behind the plot at Hverfisgata 41 and a meeting with residents in the vicinity of the lighthouse on 08.04.2010. A previous study by the Department of Planning and Building on the development potential of 41 Hverfisgata was submitted. The plan was advertised in accordance with Article 41 of the Planning Act No. 123/2010, and the consultation period has now closed. Comments were received.

  The Planning and Building Council instructs the Planning and Building Department to compile the comments and draft responses to them.

• 1106205 – 12-setja gamalt hús á lóð in Hverfisgata

  Óskar Jónsson applies, by letter dated 27 June 2011, for the plot at 12 Hverfisgata, under an old house built in 1894.

  The Planning and Building Council instructs the Planning and Building Department to discuss the application with the applicant.

• 1102768 – The Buildings Act No. 160/2010 and the Building Regulations
