Part A of building permits

• 1105456 – Flatahraun 5a, Alteration to the internal layout in space 101

  Matarveislur ehf applied on 24.05.2011 for an internal layout change at Flatahrauni 5a, in accordance with drawings by Kári Eiríksson dated 24.05.2011.The matter was deferred. Drawings stamped SHS and HHK were received on 28 June 2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the building plans in accordance with Article 11 of the Building Regulations No. 160/2010. A building permit will be issued once the conditions of paragraphs 1-4 of Article 13 of the Building Regulations have been fulfilled.

• 1106230 – Thrastaras 63, shelter wall and pergola. building permit

  Grímur Agnarsson wishes to build shelter walls and a pergola within the plot. Neighbour approval is in place. Drawn by Hildur Bjarnadóttir, dated 24 June 2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application.

• 1106200 – Tjarnarvellir 3, working drawings

  Skjaldborg kröfuhafafélagið ehf submits, on 23 June 2011, test drawings of the simplified ground plan for all floors and the simplified external cladding, in accordance with drawings by Kári Eiríksson dated 14 June 2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application.

• 1106263 – Klukkuvellir 11, retaining wall

  On 29 June 2011, Hafnarfjörður submitted an application for a building permit to cast a retaining wall and install a fence at Klukkuvöllur 11, in accordance with drawings by Haukur Ásgeirsson dated May 2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application.

• 1106245 – Álfaskeið 59, conservatory building permit

  Smári Kristinsson and Kolbrún Kjartansdóttir apply on 28.06.11 to build a conservatory in accordance with drawings by Rafn Kristjánsson dated 20.06.11. A signature from a neighbour is attached.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the building plans in accordance with Article 11 of the Building Regulations No. 160/2010. A building permit will be issued once the conditions of paragraphs 1-4 of Article 13 of the Building Regulations have been fulfilled.

• 1006200 – Selhella 5, alteration

  On 11 June 2010, Framleiðslan ehf submitted alterations to the internal space and fire design in accordance with drawings by Brynjar Einarsson dated 15 March 2010. New drawings were received on 10 June 2011, together with a report from SHS.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the building plans in accordance with Article 11 of the Building Regulations No. 160/2010. A building permit will be issued once the conditions of paragraphs 1-4 of Article 13 of the Building Regulations have been fulfilled.

• 1106243 – Berghella 1, alterations. building permit

  Gámaþjónustan hf applies on 28 June 2011 for a licence to alter the roof of a commercial building in accordance with the drawings.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the application.

Part B: Organisational Matters

• 1106203 – Furuberg 5, grass pitch

  Margrét S. Þórisdóttir and Birgir Ingvarsson of Furubergi 5 request by email dated 21 June 2011 that the grass island at Furubergi 5 be removed. A report from the Operations Department is available.

  The Planning and Building Officer welcomes the request and refers the matter to the Executive Department for processing.

• 1105246 – Stekkjarhvammur 74, plot enlargement

  Arnar Þór Þorláksson Baxter, Harpa Þórsdóttir and Ingibjörg Brynjólfsdóttir apply by letter dated 8 June 2011 for an extension of plot no. 74 at Stekkjarhvamm, see attached documents, to include a plot of land they have had in their care.

  The Planning and Building Officer welcomes the application and refers the matter to the Town Council.

• 1106224 – Fjóluhlíð 17, illegal works

  During a building inspection on 28 June 2011, it was discovered that an unregistered space was being brought into use and that load-bearing walls of the building had been sawn into without a building permit. An inspector from the Planning and Building Authority halted the works in progress.

  The planning and building officer shall require the owner to apply for planning permission for the works in accordance with Articles 11 and 12.7 of the Building Regulations.Failure to do so within two weeks will result in the Planning and Building Officer invoking the powers of Section 56 of the Building Act to impose a daily penalty.

• 1106209 – Reykjavíkurvegur 78, house relocation

  Olafur Olafsson is applying for a building permit for a house at Marbakka in Hvalfjarðarsveit. The approval of the Hvalfjarðarsveit Planning and Building Committee dated 22 June 2011, together with the permit, is available.

  The Planning and Building Officer approves the transfer of a holiday home from the Hafnarfjörður district to Marbakki in the Hvalfjarðarsýsla.

• 1104274 – Stapahraun 2, fire safety of the guesthouse

  Stapahraun 2, guesthouse. During a fire safety inspection on 23.03.11 at the above-mentioned property, it was discovered that the fire safety measures were defective. A warning was issued on 24.3.11.The breach was considered significant and the Capital Region Fire and Rescue Service granted a deadline for the closure of the premises until 13 May 2011. A final deadline for rectification by the Capital Region Fire and Rescue Service was set for 24 June 2011.

  The Planning and Building Officer requests confirmation from the owner that the remedial work has been completed.

• 1106205 – 12-setja gamalt hús á lóð in Hverfisgata

  Óskar Jónsson applies, by letter dated 27 June 2011, for the plot at 12 Hverfisgata, under an old house built in 1894.

  The Planning and Building Officer refers the matter to the Planning and Building Committee.

• 1106257 – Klukkuberg 26, enquiry

  Magnús R. Sigtryggsson and Helena Gylfadóttir request, by letter dated 29 June 2011, to take land into foster care in accordance with the attached documents.

  The Planning and Building Officer welcomes the application and advises that the Planning and Building Department should be contacted regarding the further processing of the matter.

C-part of the message has been resent

• 1106242 – Selhella 9, alteration to previously approved plans. Building permit

  Vesturkantur ehf is applying on 28 June 2011 to make minor amendments to previously approved drawings. The buildings are now fitted with a sprinkler system, the plant room is shared, mezzanine floors are added to plot 01 and the fit-out of plot 02 is slightly altered in accordance with the drawings.

  The Planning and Building Officer postpones the matter as the submitted documents are insufficient.

• 1106195 – Sign at the Reykjanesbraut

  Einar Bollason, Haukur Birgisson and Jóhannes Viðar Bjarnason request, by letter dated 22 June 2011, to erect a sign in accordance with the attached documents.

  The Planning and Building Officer points out that the application is not in accordance with the recently adopted signage by-law.
