The Planning and Building Officer points out that the plot is an undivided joint property and that everyone shares equal responsibility for it. The Planning and Building Officer proposes that the plot be subdivided and requests a proposal for how this should be done. If this is not received within 2 months, the Planning and Building Officer will propose a subdivision.;

A complaint has been received regarding the appearance of the house and the condition of the grounds.

A letter was previously submitted from Björgvin Þórðarson, solicitor, on behalf of Jóhann Ingi Sigurðsson and Tinna Rós Guðmundsdóttir of 26 Brekkugata, in which they requested the position of the Hafnarfjörður Building Inspector regarding allowing the window to remain in its current condition, i.e.or to be operable as it currently is. The Planning and Building Officer took a negative view of the request, as it did not conform to the approved drawings, which provide for smaller windows with an integrated glass block for fire safety reasons.
The planning and building officer requires the owners to restore the windows to the condition shown on the approved drawings within two months.;
11032738 – Skútahraun 3-5, containers on the plot
A letter from Einar Gautur Steingrímsson, solicitor, on behalf of Uppfyllingar ehf., dated 24.03.11, was submitted, in which an objection is raised regarding the containers on the plots. A report from the traffic safety group, dated 17.05.11, is available.
The skip at the rear is without a permit. The skip at the front is outside the property boundaries and its permit is therefore cancelled.;
1103095 – Fífuvellir 37, building defect
Hólmfríður Stefánsdóttir, reg. no. 251264-5629, is seeking assistance regarding a building defect at Fífuvellir 37 in Hafnarfjörður. She has repeatedly and unsuccessfully tried to contact the building manager of the house, Bárður Ágúst Gíslason, VAT no: 160560-3639, to carry out the final inspection of the property, which has not yet taken place.
The Planning and Building Officer called for a final inspection on 05.05.11 in accordance with Article 36 of the Construction Act No. 160/2010. 11032743 – Trönuhraun 10, door on the east side
Trönuhraun ehf applied on 29/03/2011 for changes to the exterior, requesting permission to install a door on the eastern side, in accordance with drawings by Kristján Eggertsson dated 01/02/2011. The Planning and Building Officer deferred the application on 30 March 2011. New information has been received.

0911146 – Suðurhella 8, Containers, plot of contractor Þ.G.
It has come to light that there are 24 containers on the site. A permit to place more containers was applied for, but this was refused.
;Planningand Building Control Officer repeatedly advises the applicant to prepare a proposal for an amendment to the site's detailed plan in accordance with Article 71.2 of the Building Regulations: “Containers shall not be placed outside designated container areas or sites on the plot.“ Attention is drawn to the fact that a permit is subject to a fee in accordance with the Hafnarfjörður municipal fee schedule. If this is not addressed within 3 weeks, the Director of Planning and Building will require the owners of the house to remove the containers, and if this is not done, the Director of Planning and Building will impose a fine in accordance with... On 04/09/07, Sigtryggur Ásgrímsson applied for permission to build a garage in accordance with previous drawings; the garage is attached to flat 02-02. On 22/01/08, an extension was requested to submit documents regarding the garage for 3-6 months. New documents were received on 25/09/08. Construction work commenced, but has not been carried on for a long time.
If work is not commenced within two months, the planning and building officer will revoke the building permit in accordance with Article 14 of the Construction Act No. 160/2010, and the owner will then be required to backfill any excavation.;
