11021444 – Changes to the composition of the Culture and Tourism Committee.
Thorsteinn proposes that he take the chair, but that otherwise the committee's composition remains unchanged. The proposal was approved with two votes, the representative of the Independence Party abstained. The committee thanks Gunnar Axel Axelsson for his good cooperation.;

1101286 – Grants for arts and culture 2011.
The committee is in agreement that in 2011 no special operating grants will be awarded for cultural activities, e.g. for choirs, as has been the case in recent years. It will be possible to apply for grants for individual projects. This is being done to ensure equality in the distribution of grants within the sector and also in line with the cultural policy of the City of Hafnarfjörður, which stipulates that such grants should take diversity into account. Reference is also made to the rules on grants for cultural activities, which came into force on 10 February 2010.;

The work programme was re-submitted, but the draft of the programme had been put forward for approval before the turn of the year.

11021243 – The Icelandic Film Archive and Bæjarbíó.
The agreement between the City of Hafnarfjörður and the Ministry of Education on the transfer of the operations of the National Film Archive of Iceland to Hafnarfjörður, dated 28 November 1996, expires on 28 November 2011. The agreement stipulates that the Film Archive shall have the use of Bæjarbíó for the duration of the contract.
It was decided to request that the Director of the National Film Archive of Iceland attend the next committee meeting.;

Discussion about the First of May, the Midsummer Days, the Seafarers' Day and the Christmas Village, as well as smaller events.
Discussion about the allocation of funds and more. It was decided to hold the Bright Days from 1st to 5th June.;

The cultural and tourism officer reported on the theatre's upcoming projects and progress. The founding charter of the Gaflar Theatre was presented.
