    • 1008255 – Stekkjarberg 10 and 12, fencing and reduction of the speed limit

The matter of the request from the residents' association of Stekkjarberg 10 and 12 regarding the speed of traffic on Hlíðarberg was taken up again. Speed measurements carried out on Hlíðarberg on 28 and 30 September, at Stekkjarberg, were presented. The highest speed measured was 52 km/h northbound and 63 km/h southbound, with an average speed of 31.2 km/h northbound and 39.7 km/h southbound. Hlíðarberg is a 50 km/h road.

As Hlíðarberg is a main thoroughfare in the neighbourhood, it is not possible to agree to a reduction in the speed limit. UHU proposes that the speed hump at Stekkjarberg be reviewed with regard to its effectiveness.
