;The Hafnarfjörður Town Council agrees to grant the board of the Association of Icelandic Local Authorities full power of attorney on its behalf for the purpose of negotiating a collective agreement with the Public Service Union of Iceland (SFR) and the Icelandic Nurses“ Association.
Furthermore, the town council reaffirms the board's full mandate with regard to those trade unions for which the Municipal Salary Committee had negotiating authority.

1101158 – Road tolls, resolution
A motion on road tolls, which was presented at the town council meeting on 12 January, was referred to the town board.
Representatives of the Social Democratic Alliance and the Left-Green Party record the following:
“The coalition of the Social Democrats and the Left-Green Party welcomes the government's decision of 10 December to undertake major transport improvements in the near future, including on the Reykjanesbraut south of Straumur. It is only natural that the government considers all possible options for financing such macro-economically important projects. The planned works will boost those industries that have been hit hardest by the crash and create the foundation for even further job and wealth creation in the community. „
Representatives of the Independence Party record the following:“The opposition to the current proposals for road tolls, which appear to involve increased taxation for the public, is reiterated.“;

A summary by R3 Consulting Ltd. on the impact of changes to the allocation rules of the Equalisation Fund on the municipalities in the capital region was presented.

A resolution from the Family Council of 19 January 2011 was presented, referring the increase in the annual fee to the Municipal Council.
The Town Council approves the proposal to set the annual fee for the Hafnarfjörður Library at 1,500 kr.;

The Town Board proposes to the Town Council:“The Hafnarfjörður Town Council authorises the Finance Director to negotiate with parties regarding outstanding property charges so that default interest is calculated up to the date a request for an agreement is received, after which lower interest is calculated on the principal, or the equivalent of the Central Bank of Iceland's interest rate on unindexed monetary claims.“;
