The Environment and Operations Committee has no comments on the ownership policy of the joint authorities.

1210013 – Walking and cycling paths in collaboration with the Road Administration
A proposal from the Road Administration regarding an agreement on participation in the construction of footpaths along the state's main roads in Hafnarfjörður was presented.
The Environment and Operations Committee agrees to enter into an agreement with the National Road Administration for motorway construction works over the next 3 years. The amount from the City of Hafnarfjörður for the project is 45 million, against 45 million from the Road Administration, or 15 million per year from each party. Underpasses, signage and more will also be addressed over the next 3 years, meaning that approximately 100 million is available for the project.

1204187 – Waste collection in Hafnarfjörður - tender
The outcome of the tender for waste collection in Hafnarfjörður was presented.
The Environment and Operations Committee authorises the Environment and Operations Department to enter into contracts with the lowest bidders for household waste ( Icelandic Container Company Ltd) and for institutional waste ( Icelandic Container Company Ltd and Container Service Ltd).

Introduction.
The Environment and Operations Committee thanks the Water Supply Manager for an informative presentation. The Environment and Operations Committee agrees on the importance, with a view to the future, of securing water supply for Hafnarfjörður and proposes that talks be initiated with the Municipality of Grindavík on the matter, referring the issue to the Mayor.

The Environment and Executive Committee amends its minutes from 5 September 2012, which stipulated that the consultation and publicity process would be concluded at the end of October this year. The Environment and Operations Committee is postponing the deadline for comments until 31 January 2013, and the public consultation meeting will be held in mid-January 2013. The Environment and Operations Committee would like to point out that the draft strategy can be accessed on the City of Hafnarfjörður's website, and that comments can be submitted.
