• 10103491 – Helga Jónasdóttir and Dr Bjarni Snæbjörnsson Memorial Fund, nomination of the town's representative

  A proposal was put forward for a new main member to the fund's board, as the current representative, Gudmundur Rúnar Árnason, a former mayor, is standing down.

  The town council agrees that Guðrún Ágústa Guðmundsdóttir will be the principal member on the fund's board.

  Taken up again. The mayor reported on discussions with the parties concerned.

• Regional Development Strategy

  A project manager for regional development plans' email of 14 November 2012 was presented, drawing the attention of local authorities to the possibility of inviting a representative of the steering group to a meeting for information.

• 1109261 – Procedures of the Town Council and the Board of Hafnarfjörður Municipality, Resolution

  A model by-law from the Ministry of the Interior on the governance of local authorities and the recording of minutes was presented.

  The town council instructs the mayor and the committee of the mayor to review the current bylaws in light of the model.

• 1211292 – SSH Future Group, local authorities, ownership policy

  A submission from the Association of Municipalities in the Capital Region, sent by email on 21 November 2012, was presented, requesting an opinion on the draft ownership policy for the municipal cooperatives Sorpa and Strætó bs. The Director gave a presentation on the matter.

  The town council instructs the mayor to submit a draft of the report.

• 1004559 – Bankruptcy

  Presentation of a memorandum regarding the claim by the Pension Fund of Hafnarfjörður Employees against Byr.

• 1211316 – SHS properties, loans

  A proposal from the financial manager of the municipalities in the capital region regarding the loan arrangements for the fire service's property was presented.

  The Town Council refers the following proposals to the City Council: “The City Council of Hafnarfjörður approves the proposal for increased start-up capital for the SHS group.“

• 1204324 – Sorpa bs, strategic planning for Metan Ltd

  The Chairman and the Managing Director of Sorpa bs attended the meeting and presented the proposed gasification plant.

• Budget of the municipal fund and its enterprises 2013-2016.

  Taken up again. The Family Council referred the Family Services budget to the Town Council at its meeting on 28 November.

• 1210658 – Fee schedule of the City of Hafnarfjörður 2013

  Proposals for changes to the 2013 fees and charges of the City of Hafnarfjörður were presented.Proposals from the Family Council, the Education Council and the Environment and Operations Council for amended fee schedules were presented. Also, the regulations on payments to day-care providers and private schools.

• 1211332 – Appointment of senior executives pursuant to Article 56 of the Municipal Government Act No. 138/2011 and Article 90 of the Charter of the Municipality of Hafnarfjörður

  The meeting will call for nominations for a working group to consider the appointment of a Director of Administration, following the retirement of the current Director.

  The town council agrees that Guðrún Ágústa Guðmundsdóttir, Gunnar Axel Axelsson and Rósa Guðbjartsdóttir will form the group.

• 1211298 – Work and activity

  The Family Council's decision on the proposals regarding the 'Work and Activity' employment initiative, which the Council referred to the Town Council at its meeting on 28 November.

  The town council instructs the mayor to continue working on the agreement on the basis of the existing proposal.
