The Environment and Operations Committee approves the draft 2013 operating plan and refers it to the Town Council.

Go over the status of the matter.
The Environment and Operations Committee has considered the feedback regarding bus routes 43 and 44. Comments have been received from residents of Breiðvang regarding the inconvenience caused by route 43 when travelling into Breiðvang and to Engidalsskóli.$line$The Environment and Operations Committee approves the change to route 43 and directs Strætó bs to remove the section of the route that runs through Breiðvang. The change will take effect on 3 November.$line$The Environment and Operations Committee requests that Strætó bs put forward proposals on how to better accommodate the residents and staff of Hrafnista by running bus route 43 to Hrafnista, without it entering Heiðvang, Norðurvang and Breiðvang. The Environmental and Operational Council also requests that the Planning and Building Council submit proposals on how to improve pedestrian safety on Hjallabrautin.
